For Kids aged 6 - 13

Research predicts 'by 2020, one in every 2 children in Australia will be overweight or obese'!

FOREVER ACTIVE™ Kids program can prevent this from happening because it has been designed for children who don’t normally excel at, or want to be involved in, sport.

FOREVER ACTIVE™ Kids do two fully supervised 30 minute sessions on the specially designed HOIST Fitness Circuit, strength work that feels more like playing, in conjunction with a walking program using a pedometer. Exercise suddenly becomes a game.

We have sessions available on Monday and Thursday at 4.00pm and on Saturday at 8.30am

A FOREVER ACTIVE™ Success Story
Michael, now age 6, has wanted to come to “Mummy and Daddy’s gym” with us since he was 2 years old. Now he can, thanks to the FOREVER ACTIVE™ program. Although receiving lots of encouragement from home, Michael has never been particularly taken by any team sport he’s tried or by doing any sort of physical training other than gymnastics (which he had always enjoyed until he needed more upper body strength than he possessed). Doing the FOREVER ACTIVE™ program has helped him gain upper body strength, but it has done much more than this. The steady growth in his ability to control his muscles is giving him an all-round physical confidence, and he is quickly developing a strong appreciation of his body “feeling good” through exercise. Over the last couple of weeks Michael has even been coming home and enthusiastically reporting playing soccer or basketball with his school mates. I’m not sure if there’s a connection, but he seems to be more interested in writing too. Most importantly, when I asked him if he wanted to continue FOREVER ACTIVE™ past the initial 8 week program, he was even more enthusiastic than he had been when I first told him that finally he was going to be allowed to come to what we now call ‘our gym’.

Ian Grainger, former Chief Executive of Fitness Australia says:
"Despite common miscomceptions regarding children and weight training, supervised weight resistance exercise has been proven to be highly beneficial for inactive children. By increasing their muscle strength and bone density, children are less prone to injury, burn more calories and have improved confidence."

Bill Guile, Director of Operations at Next Generation N.S.W., who have been using the HOIST equipment said "Children absolutely enjoy training on the (HOIST) machines and many comment that they feel a lot stronger and feel a buzz of achievement at the end of a circuit class. By incorporating fitness as part of the daily family routine, rather than an external activity, children can learn from an early age to include exercise as part of their everyday activity and this will be significant in curbing the spread of childhood obesity"
