Hi All
Your response to the Aqua classes this year has been amazing. You will be happy to hear that we have rostered multiple Aqua classes on during the Christmas and New Year week and I hope you will be able to have some water fun during the hot festive period if you are here in Brisbane during that time.
Do you usually participate in the Wednesday 6 pm Aqua class? This week Petrina will stand in for Jesse while he away. We had gazetted that there would be no Aqua class on Wednesday, December 4, however I am happy to be able to tell you that the class WILL be on.
If you have been endeavouring to make appointments recently you will be aware that we have Nathan and Ben and Jesse all on annual holidays, and Charlie (with wonderful help from Bridie) has a very full schedule of appointments. Nathan and Ben return on December 16 and Jesse on December 9 so if you are prepared to book your appointments with them from that date on, it will help considerably. I might say a situation like this very seldom occurs and there were special circumstances this year which required these team members to have crossover holidays.
Loretta returns this Monday and we hope she had a lovely holiday and we look forward to having her back with us.
I want to share with you my appreciation of all our hard-working staff. Every single one of them step up when needed and go beyond their line of duty to support their fellow team members and to look after you. Before team members go on holidays, they tidy up and leave the slate as clean as possible to help those of us who are “left behind”. This has been very evident in Loretta, Sonya, Nathan and Ben whom have significant roles and carry a lot of responsibility on a day-to-day basis. Their preparation for handover was truly impressive and we all, staff and members, benefit hugely from this.In addition to the efforts made by all the team members before they go on holiday, the staff picking up the workload and responsibilities do it willingly and mindfully. I appreciate this so much. In other words, everyone does their best to look after us all and I know you appreciate it too because I get so much praise for our Green Apple team.
Just a reminder about what the Coaching Class is all about. We have these classes for one hour on Monday 10 am, Tuesday 8 am, Thursday 9 am, and Saturday 8 am. The purpose is to provide floor supervision at a high-level at specific times for anyone who needs significant help with their program. New clients transitioning from the Exercise Physiologist to solo attendance on the gym floor nearly always require this supervision. Long-term members who have a new program with many new exercises will also benefit from attending this session. Doing your exercises correctly is what Green Apple is all about so I encourage you to make use of the opportunities provided.
Having said this, the Coaching Class does not replace what you will experience with a one-on-one session with an exercise physiologist (AEP) or exercise professional. Yes, there will be a fee for an appointment with the AEP but members pay a highly discounted rate ($70 to $72 for 30 minutes as opposed to $90 to $92 for non-Club members, less their Medicare or Private health fund rebate). At Green Apple you have choices on your level of care.
A big thanks to member Linda Hansen for organising the Green Apple Christmas gathering at Pine Rivers Bowls Club. Team member, Nessa, helped make this a very special end-of-year celebration. Thank you, Nessa and Linda, great effort!!
Cheers
