Hello to all Green Apples
I wonder if you noticed some of the little things and big things we managed to do over the Easter break. Every year we do tasks at Easter and in the Christmas break which we can’t achieve when the Green Apple is open.
I want to thank John, Brian, Tristan, Raul, and Rafael again for their varying amounts of input over that long weekend. Their efforts help keep the place looking fresh, and safe.
One of the tasks was work done on the courtyard paving. This can be a never-ending job however I prefer brick paving to a big expanse of concrete, and if we need to get at the drains and cables and anything else underneath, it is a much more accessible area to work with.
The tables in the courtyard look great too and the fiddly painting job on the wooden slats at the end of the Forever Active area (a much bigger job than we anticipated, which Tristan diligently slogged away at) has tidied up an area where vines had gone crazy over time.
The removal of the power poles in the Car Park was a big job, and refreshing the markers used to designate where you should park your car also look clear.
Many of you have met Raul, who joined the team a short while ago to help with property maintenance and cleaning while he is at college studying his passion, his work as a Barber. I have had so many members comment on how hard Raul works and how well he does his job. I am proud to tell you that he is one of my very well mannered grandsons.
Tristan, Raul’s brother, will be joining the team now in the role of Brian’s sidekick and helper. Tristan has competencies in technology also, which will be very helpful within the business. Tristan’s work here will be varied so you might see him in his indoor uniform of navy at Reception, helping solve computer hitches etc, or in his outdoor uniform of khaki (like Brian, John and Raul when they are in their outdoor or maintenance/cleaning role).
It is wonderful to be working with all our amazing Green Apple team members, and I know you appreciate them too because you tell me how lucky I am to have such great staff!
