Hi All
It is that time of year again, westerly winds and Ekka Day! There is always confusion during the Exhibition week because the Green Apple is on the border of Brisbane and Pine Rivers. On the Pine Rivers side, the public holiday will be on Monday, August 12, and in Brisbane the public holiday is celebrated on Wednesday, August 14.
We will be open ALL Monday, August 12, and we will observe the public holiday on Wednesday, August 14.
Brian and I will be opening on that day from 6 am till 10 am, and Brian will take Stretch class as usual at 6 am. Do come and keep us company. We open the Centre ourselves to ensure all the Green Apple Team have the day off so we look forward to seeing you.
In addition to Exhibition Week changes, if you usually attend Group Classes, we will also need your support during the three weeks from August 12 Monday, and until Monday September 2. We have some rostering challenges in relation to Group Classes due to key staff being unable to deliver their usual classes. For those three weeks we will be using our video library to provide participants with an alternative to “live” delivery. It won’t affect Brian’s classes and a few others. We will gazette which classes will be delivered onsite by video, on the Reception noticeboard, for the three weeks from Monday August 12.
I know there will be many of you who prefer a “live” class however exceptional circumstances have required I make alternative arrangements and hopefully you will all support each other and have some fun together. Are you making the most of the opportunity given to any member whom has exercises in their program that would benefit from “coaching”? First, if there is a lot of coaching required then one-on-one coaching with an exercise physiologist, or with exercise professionals Wanda, Katrina or Jesse, is the best option. Personal training fees within Green Apple are very reasonable when you compare them to other allied health businesses and freelance personal trainers. The bonus you get at Green Apple is their level of expertise and care and passion for their work which is remarkable.
The second coaching option, if you just need some supervision for part of your program, is a non-fee option. The Coaching Class which is available on five days of the week provides an hour of time on the gym floor with access to someone on the Team who can help you with technique with exercise progression, with remembering what an exercise is (and anyone can have “blanks” when you get a new program, or when you first join).
Did you know that Jesse takes a Coaching Class on Wednesday evening at 6pm plus the Saturday morning 8am class. He is keen to have people to help!
Cheers
