Hi All
You may have seen John working around the pool making sure that the brickwork is all level and ready for aquarobics. We have had to wait until the weather settled down sufficiently to be able to start our Aqua classes this year. September was a weird month, wasn’t it? After some wonderful weather in August, I thought we may be able to schedule an early Aqua season, but the weather has been so unpredictable during the past month that I am glad we held off. The only benefit from the extension of the cooler days was that Brian and I were able to light up our fireplace at Lamb a couple of times! We love the ambience of the flickering flames shadow-dancing on the walls.
If you plan to use the pool this Summer, we have a few rules which you may already be aware of. We have an outdoor shower near the pool steps which we ask everyone to pop into briefly prior to entering the pool. You will have hot and cold water available, and it is more a “sluice-down” expectation than a lengthy shower expectation.
You may have noticed that Brian has already commenced work on the downstairs toilet. This will be available to pool-users as well as women members who generally need to go to the upstairs level to the Women’s Changeroom. Wheelchairs and Walkers will also be given access to this.
The Summer Group Class Schedule has now replaced the Winter schedule and is available at Reception. It will have details about the Aqua days/times as well as when the Coaching Classes are available.
It is good to see members taking advantage of these Coaching sessions. It is so important that you do your exercises well and that you understand why you are doing the exercise.
Cheers
