The Weekly Bite – Monday 9 December, 2024 —Issue 2596

Hi All

It is a hive of activity behind-the-scenes currently, all the Forever Active equipment is being fully serviced progressively and the latest machine to get the full treatment has been the Forever Active Lat Pull Down on the garden side. John reports it is very smooth and working beautifully, so thank you John and Gary!

Another piece of equipment that has been a challenge has been the Cliffy Young bike in the Courtyard. This has finally been restored with a new wheel and fully serviced. Brian couldn’t purchase a replacement wheel anywhere and finally “cannibalised” a wheel off an exercycle that we have at Lamb! This bike may feel a little different because of the servicing however the brown seat has been returned so if you feel there is something different about the ride hopefully it will be something that you will be able to adjust to. Thank you, Brian and John.

Brian is making progress with his project at the end of the pool despite many necessary interruptions. Brian is a little frustrated because it has all been much slower than he anticipated however I assure you it IS moving forward.

We hope to get the Christmas-edition email-version newsletter to you this week so look out for it just in case it goes into your “junk” mail. It has a great recipe from Nessa (her Mum’s Christmas recipe) as well as news about the Christmas/New Year opening times and classes.

This year we have a choice of Christmas gifts for you to choose from. Nessa has been very busy preparing these and if you are a Full Member, you will have a range of gifts to choose from, and if you are an Associate Member, we have a special gift for you too. Our Christmas email will provide more information so check it out.

Team member Jesse will be back with us this week, Charlie and Bridie have been doing a wonderful job looking after all of you whom have had appointments during the last three weeks.

Charlie and Jesse will be doing their Pilates Reformer certification this coming weekend which will provide great support for Nathan. Nathan has basically carried the load alone, however once Jesse and Charlie are trained, they will also be able to introduce people to the wonderful world of Pilates.

If you are looking for help with mowing and basic garden work, I will be able to recommend the person who provides the service for Green Apple. Just send me an email and I’ll forward the details to you.

Cheers
