Hi
I have exciting news for any of you who want a water group class for people with challenges, whom are unable to attend conventional Aqua classes.
The Splashing Good Time water class will commence Wednesday November 17 at 10am. This group class has been designed as safe and effective exercise in the water for people with bio mechanical challenges (hip, knee, ankles, back, shoulders) and/or chronic conditions that make exercising in the heat or on land more challenging than water work.
Delivered by exercise physiologist, Zach, who has specialised knowledge of exercise in water, plus has qualifications to deliver Learn to Swim classes. So Zach is very understanding of any fear of water issues.
This is a Specialty class and numbers will be capped to 8 each class. Once the class is full we will have a Stand-By List in case we have any cancellations. Enrolments are being accepted now so check out the Reception notice board or talk to someone on staff.
Fees to participate in Splashing Good Time will be:
Members: $6.50,
Non-members: $18.
If unable to attend the class, cancellations must reach us 24 hours in advance so we can contact anyone on the Stand-By List.
If there is no timely cancellation notification you will be required to pay your usual fee.
I have had to attach fairly rigorous criteria to Splashing Good Time enrolments due to the nature of the class and the outcomes we hope to achieve. Numbers in the class are capped but we want you to be able to attend if you are trying to get into the group, hence there is a very strong cancellation policy.
If you plan to attend the Dickson’s Seniors’ Expo this year, it is being held at the Pine Rivers Sport Complex for one day only. Darrol or Katrina will man the Green Apple booth and Sunny will do a Presentation at 10.30am, Tuesday November 9. I hope you will be able to go along and support them.
Do you have “dicky” knees? So many of us meet this criteria and this is why Sunny takes a Total Knee Replacements Workshop. He provides you with essential information about so many things that you need to know in relation to your knees. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about your body. Book now!
You will see we have no Pilates this week, on Thursday and Saturday. Why? Because Wanda and Charlotte are doing advanced Pilates training on the Reformer.
Note: We are setting up a Specialised service in Pilates Reformer which you will hear more about once it has been fully planned.
Also Nat will be away next week and her usual Yoga Fusion classes will be replaced with other activities.
Monday November 8, 5.45pm, our “Legend“ Katrina Bethell will take a Mystery Class and Tuesday November 6am, Bronte will set up a fun Circuit
Cheers
