The Weekly Bite – May 4 2018 – Issue 2275

Hi All

Since the Anzac Day Learn to Step was well attended, I plan to take a couple of further classes, one on Monday public holiday, May Day, May 7 at 8am and one on Sunday May 20 at 4pm.  Since my objective in taking these classes is to develop Step competencies in members who wish to attend “normal” step classes some time in the future, I have given first option for these classes to the members who did  Learn to Step on Anzac Day.

Currently I have the following people booked in for May 7 – Bruce Carter, Noela Batts, Dianne Randall, Elva Solman, Max Hill and on May 20, Bruce, Dianne March, Eileen and Gary Nisbett, Noela, Max and Elva with a couple more names to come.  Please see the noticeboard in Reception for further information and to book a place in class (or on the Stand-By list).  I can take 12-14 in this class.

On the public holiday, Brian will take a “normal” Step class at 6.30am and then a Stretch class at 9am.

If you usually attend the Green Apple on a Monday to do the Heartgrooves or Lungs in Action class, and you would like to come in on the public holiday between the hours of 6am-10am to do your exercise (solo) just come along anytime, collect your workout card and ask for your card to be clipped.  You are also welcome to attend one of the Step or Stretch classes that day if you wish.

Are you looking for a really appropriate gift for Mother’s Day on Sunday May 13?  If you treat your Mother to a Pamper Massage you will be telling her how special she is.  Gift vouchers for a Pamper Massage are available at Reception and you can choose the therapist you feel your mother will be most comfortable with.

Note:  When you purchase a Pamper Massage for Mother’s Day, you will be able to purchase it at the members rate—a saving of $10.

If you haven’t attended Sunny’s Osteoporosis and Muscle Wastage Workshop I would strongly advise it.  Critical information if you are over 50 years.
