Hi All
I am writing this editorial just before flying out to New Zealand to meet my sister Hilary, who is out from Germany, to join her on the Abel Tasman walk in New Zealand.
As some of you know Hilary and I walk and talk for an hour on Saturdays, Hilary walks in Munich and I walk at Lamb Island, Redland Bay. Hilary goes out at 7.30am, summer and winter, often in snow and sometimes on black ice! I go out also summer and winter however in rather more pleasant conditions and much later in the day.
My trip will literally be a flying one, leaving on Wednesday February 26, doing the walk, and back the evening of Monday March 3. I decided to commit to this because my family live all over the world and our opportunities to get together face-to-face a few and far between.
The Abel Tasman Walk is near Nelson in NZ, and since both Hilary and I were born in Nelson (and moved to Wellington when I was 5 and Hilary was 2) we plan to spend one day revisiting, and possibly catching up with a niece we have never met.
Both our maternal and paternal grandfathers were doctors in Nelson and our father worked as a Dermatologist in Nelson after he returned from the war, before taking us all (7 children) to the “big smoke”, Wellington. Nelson was a relatively small town when we left and we have been told that there will be family history we can tap into.
I will be back before you know it!
Just a heads-up. The installation date for the Solar is Wednesday, March 5. I hope there will be as little interruption as possible to your exercise routine since I presume they will be on the roof most of the time. The Heat Pump installation is pending and should be soon.
Excitement plus!
Cheers,
