I want to thank team members Katrina Bethell and Nessa Williamson for the efforts made to organise and deliver our most recent Morning Tea for people interested in finding out more about Green Apple. It was a great little group and we enjoyed a very colourful and healthy arrangement of yummy food. Ben and Charlie helped Katrina introduce the guests to our FOREVER ACTIVE equipment carefully so they could really experience what the strength work feels like. And members of our volunteer Team, Cheryl, Frances and Desley came to support us and were a great help.
These guests were people Katrina and Nessa met at our display at Dickson’s Senior Expo, an annual event we have been attending for more than a decade. We always meet some great people who are happy to “discover” what our business can provide. The usual comment is “How long have you been here? I’ve never heard of you” and then when they decide to come onboard they tell me “Oh my doctor knows about Green Apple” or “I was telling my friend about Green Apple and saying I was going to start there and they said they used to come here 40 years ago when their children were small!”
Yes, we don’t advertise much because what can we say to really explain what we do and what we are like. We rely on you to spread the word because you understand from a “user” perspective and that is the only reliable truth in advertising. The old adage, “the proof is in the pudding”!
We have information packs for doctors available at Reception for any member prepared to take one to their GP to help share what a unique place the Green Apple is for people who want to actually help in their own medical and health journey.
I hope you are drinking lots of water as the weather heats up. Every year we have a spike of members being adversely affected by the effects of dehydration. This requires a call for an ambulance. We take this precaution because the symptoms of dehydration can mimic the symptoms of more dire issues so we take no risks. So sip, sip, sip!
