Hello to all Green Apples 

We have had a great response to the additional Step class that we have scheduled for Fridays at 9 am. I am writing this editorial before Friday, February 13, the day both Katrina and Loretta will deliver the class together to encourage new participants to trial the class.  Loretta’s role is to help anyone who wants to do the class without a step by doing all the moves on the floor. Step class music has a very clear beat to follow and it is generally slower than “aerobic class” music and it is the ideal class to attend if you would like to have some fun in a group setting. 

Now that we have this additional group class up and running, I’d like to focus on adding another Aqua class. I know this is something many of you have been looking forward to and the delay has been more related to having team members trained up sufficiently to deliver the classes than a desire to procrastinate. 

I would like to trial a class on Monday February 23 at 4pm to see what response we have to an afternoon Aqua class.  At present it will be a once-off opportunity and if we have at least 10 people attending and showing interest of wanting an afternoon class it has the potential to continue on the Aqua schedule. We will put a sign up in Reception (see the noticeboard) in relation to this for you to put your name down if you definitely plan to attend. 

The workshop that Bridie will be delivering on Osteopaenia  and Sarcopaenia is vital information for all of us. I encourage you to enrol in this workshop to learn more. Osteopaenia, or loss of bone mass is a silent condition and we can do something about it if we know about it. Sarcopaenia, or muscle reduction, ages us prematurely and we can definitively do something about this too.
