Hi All
It has been so good having you all back here in Green Apple. We missed you!
I am writing this before our planned Pilates Reformer Open Day and the Morning Tea which followed it. I am really hoping that you have used this opportunity to have a cuppa and a chat and generally catch up after cyclone Alfie. On the back page of this newsletter, you’ll see an article on “How stronger social connections benefit your mental health”. One of my main goals when I founded Green Apple more than 45 years ago was to have a place where people could come to exercise, to feel accepted, to feel safe, and to find opportunities to meet others with similar outlooks in relation to life, and to look after ourselves in general.
If you missed out on our Friday Morning Tea, I am planning another Pilates Reformer Open Day followed by a Morning Tea in April. We need these social get-togethers.
With all the uncertainty of the cyclone, our Heat Pump for the pool has been delayed. It was meant to have been installed on Tuesday, March 11. I am frantically chasing them up to install it as soon as possible.
Our 40 solar panels, inverter, solar battery and new meter box to provide power for our Heat Pump will all be installed fully by Sunday, March 16, then all we will need to have more consistent water temperature will be our new big heat pump!
I hope you can continue to be patient with any fluctuations in the pool water temperature. It has been a challenge, but it will all happen very soon.
There is a great recipe again in this newsletter and the articles on Falls Prevention (front page) and increased Protein needs as we age (back page) are essential reading.
You have a one-stop-shop in Green Apple for so much help in so many areas. I hope you are making the most of them all.
Cheers
