Hi All
First, Brian and I have the opportunity to spend a week at Kirra Beach and since Brian is overdue for a body-surfing fix, we are going to make the most of this energy-booster break. Loretta is usually able to take the 6am Step Class when Brian is away, however this week the Step Class will be one of our inhouse-produced Step videos and Brian will return next week, full of vim and enthusiasm!
Loretta will be able to resume taking Classes upstairs by mid-October so the Early bird 6am class on Thursday will continue as a video class from September 5th till October 10th. This video will still provide you with great exercise. Give it a go!
Thank you to members who have attended the video classes at 9 am Monday, Wednesday and Friday while Katrina has been up north. I was delighted to hear that a couple of our long-term members were encouraging another member to come up and try the video class, saying it was one that Katrina featured in and how good it was.
I am trialling some new exercycle seats at the moment. They are set up ergonomically to provide a different type of support for the pelvic girdle and are particularly suitable for women. They are designed to take the pressure off the pubic bone and have a specially designed spring system to allow the seat to move with movement as you ride. They may take a little getting used to however I want you to trial them and let me know. If I share with you that the bigger brown seats cost $150, more than 4 times the cost of normal bike seats, and the black ones $110, you will understand that I haven’t purchased them for any other reason than I want the best. NOTE: DO NOT USE THE NEW SEATS WITH A TOWEL UNDER YOU. You must sit directly on the seat itself and you need to wipe the seat after you finish riding (and before also if you are concerned with hygiene).
I want to apologise for any of the services we usually provide that have been disrupted recently. There have been a multitude of issues to work around and all due for various reasons, including staff unavoidably away. There are a lot of viruses and bacterial conditions out there which can be brutal, and we all have families and responsibilities which rarely impinge on our work but, when they do, my policy has always been to fully support any team member at the time they need it.
Hopefully we are now climbing back into the light!
Cheers
