Brian and I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! Our Easter weekend has been dedicated to complete multiple tasks and projects we have had pending for some time at Green Apple, things we just can’t do during normal working weeks. Big thanks to John for the role he played in this also. We hope you are happy with the results!

It is good to see some of the extra activities that we have introduced more recently, for example the Learn to Aqua class at 10 o’clock on Wednesday mornings with Josie, and the Pilates Reformer Studio program in the Honey House, are now being recognised as worthwhile additions to our services. A further initiative which will commence this week has been to increase the number of our supervised sessions of The Coaching Class. You will now have access to this on Thursday mornings at 6am. 

The Coaching Class (TCC) was created in the first place to meet a clientele-need within the Centre. As many of you will know, I am very passionate about helping people help themselves and this encompasses the way we personally do things and the need to have monitoring of HOW we do our exercise (our technique) and knowing when to increase what we do to gain maximum results (how to apply “progression and overload”). 

The Coaching Class was introduced to meet this need and provides specialised gym floor supervision and help at various times through the week at no extra charge. 

WHO should attend The Coaching Class? New members transitioning from the Trainer 1-on-1 sessions to solo on the gym floor, and longer-term members who have a new program with unfamiliar exercises. 

We have TCC supervised sessions on Monday at 10am, Tuesday at 1pm, Thursday at 6am and 9am, Saturday at 8am. Make best use of this service for YOUR needs. 

Have you ever sat down and talked to a dietitian about your particular nutrition needs? Our exercise and our food intake go hand-in-hand. I always wonder how many of us sabotage the wonderful efforts we make to do our body-maintenance (through our exercise) due to our unwitting lack of best-practice diet (that is, because we don’t have a diet designed to our needs).
