Hello Green Apples,
Where has January gone! The years are going by faster and faster each year. We need to ensure we make the most of the years we have and look after ourselves. Sometimes we have to be selfish and put ourselves first (that is my plan this year). You need to look after YOU!
Our health isn’t just about exercising but also our well-being, our mental health, what we eat and our habits (Good and Bad). Do you think that maybe you could do better or want some help to create healthier habits? I know it has been mentioned and you may see heaps of signs around Green Apple about My Health For Life Course that is starting later this week (and will be one again a few times throughout this year). It’s not too late to register and do the FREE Health quiz at Reception or scan the QR Code below to see if you are eligible to join. The Course is a FREE government funded prevention course for Diabetes, Stroke and Kidney disease that is delivered by Charlie, one of our Exercise Physiologists. This course has been successful to a lot of our members (including myself). If you have already done the course but would like a bit of a refresher or reboot – why not do it again.
Next time you go to see your Doctor could you please tell them about the success you are achieving at the Green Apple. Maybe even ask at Reception for a booklet to give to them. One of my many roles at Green Apple is to promote us to Doctors and Practice Health Nurses in our community. Unfortunately they are usually too busy to see anyone (especially me!) But if I could ask for your help to spread the word about the success YOU are achieving, I would be very grateful for your help.
Remember to keep hydrated and ensure you are drinking enough water with this terribly hot weather we are having.
