Hi All
It is an amazing time of year with a late Easter causing so many short weekdays. So far we have had a 4-day week followed by a 3-day week, and this week we have a full five day week prior to next week when the Labour Day Monday will create another 4-day week!
During Easter weekend, we managed to achieve an incredible amount of work which we wouldn’t have been able to do if the gym had been open. Our working bee consisted of Brian, John, Tristan for several days and Raul for one day, two of our grandchildren. They did a grand job! I played a role in organising and providing sustenance, around days of business admin and planning work.
Everything is in place now for our “My health for life” Open week which we will hold directly after Labour Day, from Tuesday, May 6 to Friday, May 9.
We are hoping you will all bring guests along during that week to visit. There are so many people in the community who have health reasons to exercise and that is what we are all about. We are here to help people help themselves. And we remain a secret unless people in the community understand what they could be doing. That is why open days are so important to us. They give people the opportunity to get the feel of the place, to see how inviting the outdoor setting is to do their exercise in, in comparison to being enclosed by four walls, and to see our nice all-year-round swimming pool with the adjacent toilet block. We are proud of our Centre and hope you are too. Find out more from Reception about what we plan to do.
Exiting news! For the remainder of April and all of May we have a special Pilates Reformer offer for you.
I realise many of you may be interested in our Pilates Reformer Studio activities and are loath to trial it because there is a fee attached. Since I want you to be able to have the chance to feel the effects of the Pilates exercises done on a Reformer, until the end of May new participants will be able to book in with either Josie, Jesse, or Loretta at significantly reduced fees.
Normally, the hourly rate for an hour session with an exercise physiologist or an exercise professional can range from $90-$145. If you book in for an hour one-on-one with either Josie, Jesse or Loretta right now you will have that hour session with any of them for $70.
Normally, hourly rates for group Pilates Reformer sessions for three people will cost $35 per person for that hour.
If you book in with either Josie, Jesse or Loretta right now you will be able to book your series of group Pilates at $25 per session per person.
Note this is only available for participants who are new to the Pilates Reformer, and as long as you book your appointment for your first one-on-one session prior to the end of May, and you then purchase follow up individual sessions or groups of three sessions before the end date of May, you will be able to access these prices.
Brian and I will open the Centre on Labour Day from 6am till 10am. Brian will deliver his usual 30 minute Step Class at 6am and hopes to see his “regulars” there plus anyone else who wants to have some fun!
Brian will also take a 30 minute Barbell Class at 9am that day and, for those of you who haven’t attended one of Brian’s special strength-to-music classes, you are in for a treat!
Brian says, “I expect you there boys and girls! Come and put some labour into your Labour Day!” Yes, expect a corny sense of humour.
We have added another Coaching Class to our weekly schedule. On Thursday at 6am you will have access to something I really believe in….ie. coaching in technique, specific help to use “progression and overload” in your program, anything in relation to the exercise in your program.
Read Wanda’s description of The Coaching Class on the back page of this newsletter.
Another valuable service available to members for no extra charge! Make use of it!
Cheers
