Hi All
There is so much going on behind the scenes at Green Apple currently and it is all good however I’m looking forward to when we can settle down into a more “normal” routine.
I’m amazed at the amount of sickness we have experienced within the Green Apple team recently. I suppose Covid and influenza A and B have been rife in the community, so it really is just a reflection of what is going on.
And I have felt for exercise physiologist, Charlie, who has had laryngitis and unable to talk at all at a time when he has a full schedule of appointments (and both Charlie and I apologise to any of you who have had appointment cancellations) compounded by having a close family wedding. Charlie can’t wait to get over this.
Meanwhile, Exercise Physiologist, Ben, has come to the rescue and has been doing back-to-back appointments to help out as much as possible. Big thanks Ben!
Jesse, who will be coming on board as an exercise physiologist, has had had his final Masters exam last week. He has been finishing his thesis, and we are so happy he will be joining the Allied Health team (Charlie, Ben, Bridie, and now Jesse) and employed full-time. This will happen sometime in October.
Bridie has taken on postgraduate studies as a Diabetes Educator and this has required immense dedication, both in ongoing study and in very specific practicum experience.
This huge effort has meant some of Bridie’s availability has been affected so if you are being looked after by Bridie in relation to your exercise prescription check when you will be able to see her and plan ahead.
Katrina is away currently for three weeks, and Loretta will be taking her classes. Thank you, Loretta, for being such a wonderful all-rounder and support!
Brian and I will be away for two weeks, and we know that the team you have looking after you will continue to do their usual fantastic job. We will be back on duty on Monday, 20 October, if you have any problems or concerns let Reception know and the team will decide whether or not it’s something that they can help with and needs to be dealt with immediately or whether it can wait until I return.
Thank you to Lydia Miller, Sharon Ramah and Pauline Mathers for great communication regards Katrina’s Wednesday and Friday 9am classes and how valuable they are. Pauline let me know that the class Loretta took for Katrina last Wednesday had grown to 12 participants!! And that Loretta took an amazing class.
Cheers
