Hello Green Apples,
It’s Nessa, here this week to write to you about the different activities we have at the Green Apple either on now or coming up.
I have been told by a lot of the Aqua Class members that it is beautiful in the pool at the moment. So if you haven’t tried Aqua yet, you can just turn up at the Aqua times (Monday 10am, Thursday 9am & Saturday 7am), if the number of members in the class increases we may be able to put another class or two on. Just shower before entering the pool and wear what is comfortable.
Tai Chi Class with Michelle Dix, the next 10 week block starts this week (Tuesday Nov 7 at 10.30am or Wednesday Nov 8 at 5.45pm). Just add your name to the list on the reception notice board and pay to hold your spot. Cost is $80 for members.
Also on the notice board is the upcoming Maltron Body Composition Analysis with Katrina. This is a great test to do before Christmas as a reference base. Again write your name on the reception notice board against the time that suits you. Pay on the day of $20 is fine.
The Type 2 Diabetes Group Education & Exercise Course with Nathan & Ben is going really well. If you have Type 2 Diabetes or know anyone that could benefit from this 8 week course it’s FREE (Bulked Billed to Medicare with a T2D Referral). It’s ongoing, which means you can join at anytime and won’t miss out on anything. Grab a flyer at reception if you are interested.
If you are a member that is seeing their doctor soon, don’t forget to tell them all the great/hard work you are achieving here. And if you would like to provide your doctor with more information about Green Apple please ask reception for a copy of the Information Pack to take to them. Unfortunately not all doctors know about us and the work we do here to help people with prescribed tailored exercise in such a friendly environment. Our Team of Exercise Physiologist are here to help you (Charlie, Nathan, Ben and arriving soon, Suzzy).
Don’t forget we all need to stay hydrated, so bring a water bottle and having sips during your work out is required, especially now the warmer weather is here.
Members are asking me “Where is Darrol now?” Last we all heard was that he is doing great, enjoying the odd bit of fishing near Broome. Slowly making his was down the west coast with Angie and their dog Willow. “Living the Life!” as he would say.
Enjoy your week,
Till next time
Nessa
