The Weekly Bite – Monday 9th June, 2025—Issue 2620

Hi All

John, Brian and I are doing everything we can to keep the pool water at a tempting temperature during this transition into winter. The combination of the new heat pump, the heat mat on the cardiovascular roof, the solar panels on the Forever Active roof, the Battery storage and the back-up grid power, all has to work seamlessly together. We are learning fast!

I know the chill factor is always going to be a concern in Winter and this is why it was wonderful to see the group in the 8 am Aqua class posing in their aqua-gowns. They all looked quite cozy despite the westerly wind which caused temperatures to plummet. I know some members have purchased their gowns from the firm, “Aquadash” (www.aquadash.com.au) and others have purchased it through Temu. All of them have a gown that reaches to their ankles and most of them have a hood. I think this “chill-factor-management” is excellent so well done to those of you who thought of it!

Did you know that team member Kristen is studying to complete her Fitness Professional certificate 3 and 4 to qualify her to work within Green Apple as a personal trainer, like Katrina, Wanda and Loretta? Currently you may see Kristen at the front reception, or know her as the editor of the weekly newsletter. Kristen does all the hard work and I contribute the weekly editorial and do the proof-reading, and make a suggestion or two on possible newsletter topics and content.

If you come to the Green Apple on Saturdays, you will see Kristen doing the “Floor Checks” to make sure that you are all coping with your exercise. When anyone on the Team does a Floor Check they write notes on who they have talked to and whether there are any problems or concerns. This is then entered into our confidential Staff book which all the team read and it helps us stay current with so many of you.

Brian and I have transitioned from our dentist of more than 20 years to the Bald Hills Dental practice over the road and we are really impressed. They are very switched on to so many medical conditions eg from sleep disturbances and diabetes to more complex, unusual conditions, and they have the professional scope to help with any dental and orthodontic problem. Thank you, member Kiki, for recommending them so highly.

Cheers
