Hi All

One of the benefits of working at the Green Apple is the incredible feedback and support we receive when members start benefitting from time spent at our Wellness Centre. Sometimes the feedback is verbal “I just want to tell you , Victoria, that my doctor was very pleased with my last bone density test — it shows improvement in both my spine and my hip!” Sometimes it is written, long-hand and with obvious effort. Occasionally I receive an email to my email address,
victoria@greenapplewellness.com.au

The following email received recently made my day — not because of the praise implied but because it validated what I do on a daily basis, and what we all do within the Green Apple ie make positive meaningful changes in
people’s lives.

In this case the benefit was achieved through the treatment work I do using
remedial massage as the tool. Massage is not just a mindless manipulation of soft-tissue. Clinical massage requires using the hands to identify problems and then engaging the brain to decide what treatment work to use to alleviate the symptoms. What I do during the treatment is dependent on, and reflects, years of studying allied areas of physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and many medical areas.

Member Margaret Sparks recently
fractured her wrist, now out of plaster, and writes:
Hello Victoria,

I just have to share my excitement on the HUGE improvement of my wrist after your treatment yesterday. There was an immediate noticeable improvement. When I drove my car away from the building, I could change gear with my left hand only. I was concerned that I would lose that movement overnight, as previously each morning I have had to will myself to move my frozen wrist.  Not so, this morning there was minimal pain.

Thank you, thank you, I cannot thank you enough.  I have my surgeons appointment tomorrow and will be singing your praises.  In the past I have told him you had cured my carpal tunnel, which he had wanted to operate on and he was skeptical but this is the proof he may need to be more receptive to soft tissue therapy, we can only hope so and I will certainly be pushing the point.

with great appreciation,

Margaret Sparks

Thank you for your positive feedback Margaret. I share this in the hope that other members with soft tissue issues will see the Green Apple remedial massage team as a possible solution to their problem. Because this is what we do — we give relief to, or fix, painful areas.

P.S The normal Step Class on Monday at 5.30pm will be replaced with Aerobics and will be taken by Barb. Last Monday, Barbara included some Step also in a mix of various aerobic modalities. Come along and have some fun doing this “different” class.
